More funds = more own players is what I said and I’m sure the owners could compete with other super league owners if we were in the super league. What do you think financial it would cost someone to get to the super league?
Donny fans are fickle they will follow a winning side, you state that we need DR to be competitive well its clearly not making us competitive yes we are currently 4th in the League but we have failed to beat anyone who you would consider an established club outside of Whitehaven (who are having financial issues) and we didnt seem to pull up any trees against improving Newcastle and Crusaders.
June is going to be a massively difficult month to pickup any points and we play the only remaining two established clubs and the league leaders. I would say anything less than 2 wins out of those 3 games would effectively end any realistic change of promotion.
During this difficult time we have "sold" a key half back and released a local lad who was an improving prop forward, we have gained a "loan" player from Hull so we can fitten him up for their next injury crisis or until they want to send him out to a Championship club.
It makes on sense for our coach to state that Oldham were a bigger more aggressive pack and to let a big aggressive prop go and sign for a divisional rival no less..I wish Zac luck but he should be still wearing the Blue and Gold.
This maybe an unpopular opinion but if Harris was so "desperate" to sign for Hull, I wouldnt have him in a Don's shirt again, if like the York player he'd seen the season out with us then moved on all fair, but to push a move then expect to stroll back into the team....let him sit on the sidelines in Hull for me.
Leave they players who've remained loyal to the club in place and pick a side based on previous games and form, dont try to just crowbar as many Hull lads in as possible its not fair on us as supporters and I am pretty sure its not sure on the real Donny players or even the Hull lads really.
