I’ve been reading this forum as a guest for the last few months but never contributed due to all the negativity and lack of respect towards differing views. I would like to voice my personal opinions without insults being thrown at me because my view may be different to someone else’s.

I enjoy reading the informative postings with articles telling us about things we wouldn’t otherwise know about and also the suggestions for improvement.

I realise that things don’t always go well and some people need to have a rant and a forum is just the place to do that. What it shouldn’t become is a place to hurl personal insults at each other.

This discussion seems to have taken a turn for the better now the ‘handbags’ have been put away!
I look forward to more of the same.

The scouting question in particular sounds like a good one for the club to answer, Geoff.

GeoffRoebuck in principle your idea is a good one but I'm not sure that the Dons have the pull to attract youngsters in those areas against the bigger clubs who ply their trade there. I would think expanding our contacts and influence within the amateur clubs closer to home would be more profitable.

A reserve team is required so that good local amateurs can make the transition to professional rugby league . We appear to be building bridges with the local sides .

They will never know if they don't try & they don't all have to be youngsters we try to sign after all the Dons are playing in a division only one step up from the National Conference leagues.
