Nice to see Mark Castle on the score sheet for Hunslet who convincingly saw off Whitehaven. They're putting up a good fight and within 2 points of Batley although with a worse points difference. Will get 2 more points next week so could get interesting.
At least we won't have to hear it was a game of 2 halves this week.

Bumped into Kyle Wood outside The Winter Seam at Xscape yesterday ... he had a broken ankle courtesy of a visit to Catalans with Huddersfield.
He played under Ellery he reminded me along such as Kyle Briggs et al.
Now that was a decent enough side .....

I just can't envisage who the heck we will get who could challenge that era.

I read alot on here about the hanley days and the likes of pennant/chappell/roache and while they are iconic and proud periods in our history shouldn't we be concentrating on the here and now? constantly reliving those times doesn't help the position were in at this moment, everybody and i mean everybody is hurting at the minute but the most important thing is to regroup and bring in the necessary quality in to get straight backup next season. The very fact the club have been in negotiations with players for some time tells you they are serious to be back in the champ next year, i know it's hard to just write off a disaster of a season ( i still want to hear more from the club about what went wrong) but let's wait to see the recruitment drive and wether club doncaster start to honour their word before we turn our back on the club. Not even the darkest of days compares to shopping with the missus on sunday's! COYD

I too would like a more detailed explanation of why things have gone so disastrously wrong this season but I don't honestly think it will happen.

I can't make this week's Meeting (away from tomorrow) but look forward to some positive announcements coming from it.

I seem to remember the date of 7th September being bandied about regarding signings for next year thus far all we have heard of is two existing players being retained.

I am pretty sure if these players have signed for us then there is no harm in naming names it happens all the time in other sports that a player will be plying his trade elsewhere next year.

Steve, existing players being signed are still players being signed. They didnt say new players would be named first, they said that they will name players who have signed for next year from the 7.9.15. Seems like they are announcing one per day so keep watching the news feed like me.
