hmmmm. the Rule is under a sub-category on the RFL Rules page of "GRAND FINAL SERIES" if you goto www.therfl.co.uk/the-rfl/rules/i ... section=B3
I would argue that having this rule in the section of Grand Final Series is very misleading. when this is a rule right in the middle.
GRAND FINAL SERIES (No mention in the header of this section of regular season?????)
B3:17
Dual Registered Players who have a Salary Cap Value of £20,000 or more i.e. those who receive a category A, B, C or D classification, must have played in at least three League or League Cup fixtures for the Championships club that season before the end of season registration deadline which applies in that Competition in order to play in games which fall after that deadline whether they be regular season or Play Off games.
Dual Registered Players who switch over to a Loan Agreement following the end of season registration deadline must have played in at least three games of the regular season in order to be eligible for the Play Offs.

| NWC are reportedly being investigated for an illegible loan player this season too...technically a different offense but obviously will be interesting to see if anything happens

| Now, maybe I'm trying to over-simplify something that is a touch more complicated than appears but would the answer to this complete debacle be this? :
When a team submits its team sheet to the Match Commissioner, the Match Commissioner should have access to the RFL's register of players. He should then check that all registered players are eligible to play by confirming registrations for loans, transfers, and dual registration have all been received and accepted by the RFL.
In this way, the RFL and all teams can be seen to be working together to ensure nothing like this ever happens again.
The problem can (and should) be stopped before it starts as I'm sure no team wants to fall foul of the rules.

| i would have thought that was already being done.
But then the Match Commissioners could be that thick that they don't even understand the rules.
but again TOOOO SIMPLE!
