Watched a lot of the games when I've got home after work. Enjoyed them all so far, the various commentators have shown good knowledge and understanding of the game, but I'm massively confused. Not once have I heard the mysterious 'angle' mentioned, you know the one, according to Stevo they always come in on ? (Even in defence??)
Perhaps, as I've suspected, it doesn't exist, and Stephenson does talk absolute non stop b0ll0cks?

I can see Scotland being very unlucky, both they and Italy are on a points difference of plus 16 so any kind of win for Italy against Tonga will see Italy progress and Scotland go out having played 3 won 2 drawn 1 lost 0.

Where as USA, having been beaten by Scotland and with a worse record progress

I think Tonga will beat Italy.

You see, Gargoyle, it's all to do with what happens in each stanza. The second stanza can't be compared to the first stanza because teams lose momentum at half-time and the majority of errors are caused by a lack of concentration. It's as simple as that!

Poor first half from England, but the game changed completely once Rob Burrow came on.
Up to then we were clueless in attack.
It showed up the attempt to win this thing without creative and nippy halfbacks as totally misguided.
He needs to fall on his sword after that first half (SM).

I think i said in another post that Burrow should have played against the aussies.
he makes the opposition have to think and draws players out with the way he attacks the line.
which Chase doesnt do, not often enough.
Burrow should start every game IMO
