| I felt we should really have killed Sharlston off, and that after racking up the big lead we eased off. There were some players though that gave 100% all game and Castle (as always), Kesik and Waterman were the ones to stand out. It was Watermans effort that got him 3 of his tries.
Later in the game we got drawn into the niggling game of some of the Sharlston players, and the big blow up at the end was a result of that.
Perhaps the referee was more lenient (or was it just ineptitude) to this type of play, but equally we should have been savvy to it.
I feel Hyde is getting better each game, and if he extends his stay both the Dons and he will benefit from it.
Cunningham I feel has taken something of a step backwards. Initially he showed a lot of promise, but doesn't seem to run with full conviction and his defence is inconsistent.
Finally, and I really do hate to say this, especially with it being his testimonial season, but I think I'd stick with Sanderson over China for now. I fell his defence is better and although he isn't our quickest back he seems to have found extra pace during the close season. He just needs to run straight now and cut down on the sidesteps and body swerves.

| I'm torn on Hyde, he did a lot of good stuff, but took a long time to think about doing it sometimes. On other weeks he could have had someone on top of him every time.
I felt he worked well with Cooke at the Haven game cause he has a simple job, get the ball to Cookie in space. With the decision making taken away from him he did this excellently. I am willing to give him benefit of the doubt that he need to understand the players around him more, which will happen the more he plays.

| I didn't go to Barrow so can't comment on Hyde's performance there but in the last 2 home games I'd have to say that I'm happy enough with his contribution and would expect that if we can hold on to him he could form a half back partnership with Cooke to match the best elsewhere in the division.
