I went to that one as well. It was the Wednesday after we played and beat Fulham away at Crystal Palace, i think we lost at Carlisle though.
It cost me a right packet in petrol that week.

Does anyone remember going all the way to Carlisles Gifford Park ground on a winter Sunday afternoon only to find out when we got there that the game had been called off due to a frozen pitch?

Yes, we got there and it was like concrete. There was no chance that it would have been played.
Did BM score a hat trick though, i thought it was just a brace of tries but i may be wrong?
