Fev are not one of the best teams this year.Widnes will do better than them.Squad and teams can change from season to season.Age and injuries can have an effect.Youngsters like kavanagh,Grady,Craven,Alex Brown,Jack Owens,Lunt,Houghton and others are a year older and top players.We have a great squad and I am confident.Maybe if beat leigh away some might take notice. |

| I'm debating how brilliant it would be if Leigh won the league! They moan more than anyone about the franchise system etc, even though the only thing they have achieved since it's inception is relegation so imagine them if they won the Championship and we got promoted... absolute bliss  |

To be fair, Leigh would have been relegated anyway from SL in 2005. It was Widnes who took the plunge for the Dragons.
Leigh ought to be thankful that they weren't forced to be playing in the Championship One last season anyway!

Perhaps we moan about it more because we have stronger beliefs than you that achievement in sport should be sorted on the field of play and not in some dark,dank,smoke filled room in leeds by big fat men. |

No crying by us about being relegated, we got what we deserved.
It wasn't our fault the owner of gateshead decided to pull the plug and close them down. |

There was no 'crying' at all about the Gateshead situation, we were in a very fortunate position to stay up but that's it.
And, for what it's worth, it was the chief executive rather than the chairman who made the post-franchise comments. |
