| Quote: Pepe "I'm not the biased one. I have feely admitted that our indiscipline let us down. And, like you say, it happens in every game in Super league. I never, at any point, excused any foul play from Widnes players, and agreed that Cross had to go. I'll go further than that and say that Scoot Moore is very lucky not to be sent off for a professional foul.
But, over all, it wasn't a particularly dirty game until Widnes tired in the last 20/30 minutes and let themselves down badly with their indiscipline.
You don't need to lecture me about bias son. You seem to be the very thing you are accusing me of. Not a single mention of the high tackles and spoiling tactics of your own team in your post there.
Well done on making yourself look ridiculous.'"
Couldn't agree more, we let ourselves down massively but Wakefield were no angels. I was going to mention the treatment Allen recieed but somebody beat me to it.

Yep, Dave took at least two full-on high shots that should have been dealt with by the ref, but wasn't.
It's amazing how these non-biased Wakey fans conveniently missed those, but managed to see every Widnes high tackle, sending them in to venomous anger and righteous indignation.
fecking tarts!

It's not righteous indignation, all games have head high tackles and all teams commit them.
If Thaler had dealt with them in the appropriate manner though, it might not have appeared as though it was actually widnes' game plan, that's all.
Either way in the second half he at least grew enough plums to deal with what indiscretions were being committed and the best team took advantage and rightly won, Incedentaly our second victory from nine under the biased Thaler.
If you think you were robbed you are miles off, in the end you reaped what you sowed, and if you think that's the way forward, I can't see you doing much better, and that would be a shame.

I don't think that we were robbed. The best team won. I'm saying that dirty play went both ways, and that Widnes only got out of hand when they seemed to tire, in the last 20/30 minutes.
To say that this was our game plan is pathetic. If any team had an illegal game plan it was Wakey, with constant holding down and slowing our play-the-ball down. This repeatedly went unpunished by the ref. I'm not saying he was biased, but he didn't do Widnes any favours either.
If you listen to some of your fans, you'd think that this game was some evil master-plan to make Widnes look good. There's something sad and desperate about that frame of mind.

| I see what your saying, and tbh we are just going round in circles.
We'll see how Betts deals with things going forward, I'm sure you have some good enough players, and there was plenty to work on in training both positive and negative.
Time will tell.

| The laying on was both teams and the ref let it slide a fair bit. Fair play to him.
The pitch added to a fast paced game and part of both teams game plan will have been to slow the opposition down a touch.
I think the ref realised this and was lenie with both teams on occasioned and I think that's a positive for the ref instead of blowing every 2 mins.
As for the Allen thing, I am to watch the match again so will keep an eye out there.
The ref may very well have missed a thing or two which is human but the reason he didn't miss the high tackles from widnes are that the happened consecutively.
Fitness ultimately told and watts may add a touch of class which Is needed. Phelps will go steady but I thought craven was good anyway.
All in all widnes held up well. Salford and bulls I tip to be below you anyways.
Its swings and roundabouts, we will get the rough end of the whistle in a few games as do all teams.
Anyway, I am bias as I am a wakey fan but I try to be as least bias as possible.

Now, you see, this is a bit more reasonable.

That proves nothing mate as you've been the past few years.

| Alot to be positive about for Widnes, looked really dangerous early on but just lacked that bit of creativity in the Wakey 20. I'm sure Watts will bring that. Like the look of Danny Craven. Alot of heart and hustle, just didn't make enough of that early possession.

Surely the argument there is that our -ness, wouldn't be an issue if we are backed by the ref, as was claimed.
And thanks for pointing that out by the way, I was trying to blank those memories!!!!

Craven is a standoff and will play regular their sometime. He can be creative and has a decent kicking game.We also have a few academy and u20s with promise but will take a few yrs to bed in mate.

Shouldn't take long it's in our first set after Cockayne's dissalowed try where he receives 2 high shots and also a grapple tackle.
Personally I'd take that as just a bit of rough treatment that if goes unpunished ah what you gonna do about it! But to say one side at it constantly and the other not at all I think we all know is a bit daft.
I don't think anyone was defending our discipline btw as it was poor when heads dropped after you took lead just after Cahill's try. Wakey defended very well and did slow the ruck down which then led to frustration - penalties and you took advantage of that and won the game, simple as and why deserved it.

| Quote: Pepe "There was no issues from Widnes players until the 50th minute, or so. there was nothing before that which would have required sin binning or sending off. 2 or 3 high tackles went in from Widnes players from then on. It is not mandatory for the ref to take immediate action. It is desirable that they don't, or we'll end up with 10 men per side RL every week. Players were warned and punished by penalties until Ben Cross over-stepped the mark and was sent off.
I suppose that you missed several head high tackles put in by your very own angels?
On at least two occasions Dave Allen nearly had his head ripped off. We never even got a penalty for it. Your players were lying on all game, often for as long as 8 seconds, and we got nothing.
Now jog on you whinging tart.
Nicely put. As ever a master of understatement.
