Regards the rumour mill, David Solomona anyone? out of contract at Wire this year and is still a big handful for any defence in Super League. Matty Blythe as already mentioned is another i would take from Wire and Carvell if he doesn't sign another deal.

Problem with Solomona is he is a luxury wire can afford at the moment. Playing little spells around a quality back row that could play 80mins if need be and in players like Atkins and Bridge two solid defensive centres. Could we afford that luxury? Only time will tell I guess but you'd fear he could be a liability if we needed him to play 60mins a week etc.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

I see your point but do you not think Solomona could be played in longer spells if needed, I know 60 minute spells may be a lot to ask but is it not more of a case Wire play him like they do because that's all they need of him, coming to Widnes maybe he'd be able to play more than he does for them. |

Carvell is out of contract and it was reported somewhere he'd instructed his agent to find him an NRL deal. I'd presume if that didn't cone off he'd stay put but maybe wire have planned on him not staying?
Your right though, Graham (super human prop) he's been the stand out in SL for me this season. V

I'm shocked Paul Wood hasn't been handed international honours this year. Think he's class along with GC. I actually think Morley has struggled to make an impact this year though. What say you Wires, should you visit the thread? |
