With the amount of quality that's in the current Widnes squad,or rather lack of,my honest opinion is that the Vikings will finish on 4 to 6 points next season.

look everyone Mr forsyth is back. much like a particularly tenacious sexually transmitted disease, you just cant get rid of him.

Difficult really, most are assuming it will happen against Warrington, but as it's the last game of the season then there's a good chance that it will be a nothing game for us meaning a slightly lower crowd. But let's say optimistically that we're pushing for a play-off place?

I think unless we get playoff rugby league then we won't hit over 10000. I'd love us to however we never hit it once in 4 years of trying so I'm not sure too much will have changed. Only time will tell

I'd say two things have changed since Widnes in SL v 0.1...

The marketing machine at Widnes. We haven't seen how they are going to market our SL games yet but I think it will be a bit better than the attempts of the board we had when last in SL. Remember we had nearly 8,000 for a game against Salford in the championship.

Although 2000 of them were kids and parents on free tickets it's a fantastic effort. You could be right about Warrington, I'd expect them to fill the west stand and have a fair few in the east. I think it comes down to those who pay on the gate and how we are doing come September.

Anybody know how many strongholds we've sold? Last i heard it was just under 4000. Can't really see many people wanting to join between November january. As tight as it sounds I wouldn't pay twenty pound a month for nothing, I can see a slight rush to get them at the start of February.

There was and probably still is around 3,800 and I reckon you're right about the numbers taking them up between now and the end of the season but I reckon a fair few might convert as the season goes on. Unlike a season ticket you can obviously join Stronghold at any stage in the season without really being financially punished and I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't regular incentives for people to join throughout the season.

Warrington is a much bigger game for 'Vikings' fans than the St Helens game so i'm not too sure why one or two of you think you'll get a bigger crowd when you play Saints.
