That's the same excuse we used to use. You'll be repeating that a lot more next season, mark my words..

Not many coaches get in any finals.
He'll do a good job at Barrow just like he did at Widnes and Gateshead.'"
Wow!! I never knew one person could make so many posts over such a long period of time and all about one topic - Steve McCormack.
Don't tell me - your initials are RM.

You forgot to mention that Tony Smith has totally transformed Warrington from a team of overpaid, under-achieving, disorganised, big-time Charlies (under Cullen's leadership) into a motivated, structured and impressive side that won the Challenge Cup and look very good for 2010.

The league position they finished in was woeful in the league, apart from a challenge cup win i dont see what else there is to be that enthused about.
Still you have McChoker now.

Smith didn't take over until June. The turnaround since then is testament to Smith and damning evidence to prove how low Warrington had slipped under Cullen's leadership.

Which is of course completely wrong as they were near relegation when he took over and they had a top 4 finish under him. Ask a Warrington fan what they think of Cullen and they'll probably tell you what a Widnes fan will say about McCormack, did a good job but took them as far as he could.
Having watched Widnes almost every game under McCormack we played far better when Cullen took over, albeit inconsistant however alot of those issues where solved when Cull had the balls to change the complete structure of the training times, methods etc. We wouldn't have won the game up at Fax in the semi final under McCormack. I'm sure he'll do a good job up at Barrow, but having first hand experience of how McCormack's teams play, we can only pass the information on!

Nah im not seeing any major turnaround apart from the challenge cup win, granted they will do better next year after investing heavily again.
Care to explain your comments on the Barrow board about Dave Allen, something along the lines of beg, steal and borrow?
Your a muppet.

| I fear for Barrow under McCormack, their all conquering league performance of this season will be a big ask.. Grand Final runners up and NRC Runners up is the best I can see for them in 2010.
