Pretty sure it's only 50% of their cap that doesn't count, not the whole thing (though not 100%).
From what I heard / read sounded like he was on about the cap not finance and that contracts may be reduced due to cap reasons not the fact we can' afford them!
It's not right but tbf, with an under 21's we technically double are playing pool so they will ceratinly cap that somehow! |

Sorry! lol. Erm no clue would expect it to be lower, but saying that for past few seasons Oldham have outbid quite a few NL1 sides for players so don't know!

1 - can't get more elsewhere
2 - lives with wife in WIDNES
3 - Already won 1 trophy why not more
4 - better chance than with any other side of reaching SL
5 - play in front of more than 12 fans

They haven't bothered to get the names right but that looks like a lower cap for Championship One to me.

Well he wanted to move to Widnes as his wife teaches at a local scholl and was living loclly at least!
Would I do my job for less money? Depends on job prospects doesn't it! If you have ambition that is?
Take the job elsewhere on more money (where I may ask?) but no will stay in that job for years or take a pay cut with the potential to earn much. much more in just 2 years time hmm... |

Varkulis is not a super league player if thats what your getting at.
IF widnes do make it to super league he will be left on the sidelines as will half the squad they have now. Makes sense for them to get out whilst they can. |

Plus Jamie have you asked Varks if he things he's good enough for SL? I bet he'd love the chance! If any player didn't think they could give it a good shot in SL I wouldn't want them at Widnes anyway - wrong attitude! |
