As Testy said that's because we were disciplined and you were not. Cross in particular was a liability and pretty much threw the game and that was not Ben Thalers fault. I agree that perhaps another ref would have been more sensible if for no other reason than to stop this kind of bickering.

That said the result would still be 9 penalties to nil, however Ganson for one would have brandished the yellow sooner than Thaler especially as it was a telly game.

There is no denying your indiscipline helped us win the game but the try's that won it still took some scoring.

On a positive, Frank Winterstien looks to be reaching his potential which is good to see, always liked him when he was with us.

This suggests that Widnes need to sort their discipline out.

Fitness and stamina showed in the last quarter and thats why the bad tackles came in from Widnes.Watch anygame like that and its what happens when the opposition start to feel the heat and limbs start to hurt.

Indeed they do and indeed it is. I was simply making the point that at full strength we as a team will have much more ability, experience and power in the side. Friday night will not necessarily fairly reflect how we do the rest of the season. Hopefully these players will be back for the Salford game which might give us more of an indication.

You are absolutely right on this point. Why it took SO LONG... for Southern, Lauititi and the rest of the lads to have such an influence on a Wakefield referee is beyond me. But the pat on the back from Lauititi showed that the message had got through in the end.

It's abhorrent in football and RL has always been able to hold it's head high as having more principles in this area. Your boys obviously don't share those principles. Fair enough.
