| If Carney is banned I don't think it makes much difference. James Clare looks a good player so I'd assume he'll take his place? Paddy Flynn will be gutted though, sure he was looking forward to another Carney battle!

| 2 match ban for Carney and appeal held for Hauraki also at 2 matches. Tigers have a bit of juggling to do with the squad now. Prabably Webster to partner Holmes in the 2nd row with Clare coming in for Carney on the wing.

No Mariano to start with Holmes...I don't want Gibson in the centres. The Backline should be the one that won at Wigan.

| Widnes will probably line up with the same team as last week with the exception of Alex Gerrard who will start having been rested vs Hull KR.

| I honestly believe this will inspire us on Sunday. It seams like us vs the world at the minute even though I've no complaints with the bans it does appear there are double standards at the RFL with some clubs almost untouchable.
Best of luck Sunday and may the best team win. It should be a great day with an incredible athmosphere.

| Hopefully Pat Price is looking down to inspire Widnes. This will be a great game, and who gets the luck on the day too.

One of your wingers being banned shouldn't be the reason to inspire you on Sunday! I appreciate you're trying to turn this into a positive, but I don't think it will make much difference. One thing I will say, Clare against Flynn I'd take Flynn - he's twice the size and as quick in my opinion.
Will be a great occasion on Sunday.

| We need to make sure we are up for it from the first whistle and not feel our way into the pace of the game otherwise Cas will hand us our Arses on a plate. No second chances,no use complaining afterwards that if we had played the same all game as we did in the last twenty minutes we may have won.Full 80 minute performance required for these games. If we can't match Cas for the whole game then so be it,we are not good enough.

I think you're bang on with that assessment, although the loss of Millington, Hauraki and Carney is a massive blow for us, so I'm not so sure there's a lot to choose between the 2 teams.
I think it could come down to who controls the ball better, completes sets and keeps their nerves.
Either way I'll be off to wembley, got my seats booked in the Cas/Widnes end, so I'll be cheering for whoever wins our semi on Sunday.
Hope the video refs are anonymous this week, they have spoilt many SL games this year.
Going to be a belting afternoon, atmosphere will be electric

| Maybe not much to choose between the two sides on paper, player for player, but if you compare results and performances over the season then Cas are streets ahead.Widnes play to their best now and again but with Cas it seems to be almost every week. That's what concerns me,you never know for sure which Widnes will turn up.If we bring our 'A' game then we have a chance,if we leave it in the dressing room til the last quarter then it's game over.Anyway, may the best team win.(though I won't complain if Widnes get a lucky decision from the ref to clinch it)

| We need to at least match the Cas pack to #1 get Mellor & Brown going & #2 ensure that Clark has no room at HB. Control the ruck, control Clark.
It's building up nicely!

| Clark not Clarke. Unless you want Jon Clarke to have no room.
For me Clark is the stand out player of the year so we're not going to control him throughout. It's about giving him our utmost attention and scrambling when he does make an inevitable half-break or break.

| Well we are 4 nervous days away now - and I think we can all agree this is now a toss of a coin job. Literally who turns up on the day.
I've lost my faith in "form" and "previous meetings" - they all seem irrelevant now.
Both teams are so well matched in every aspect.
As someone said earlier - if Cas don't win I'll be cheering on Widnes.
I just pray to whatever god is up there, that the team who wins is the best team on the day, and a tight match isn't decided on a poor decision or dodgy call.
As a cas fan I'd either be gutted or embarrassed if that's the case - though I guess right now I'd take it lol.
Credit to both sets of fans for selling out the ground - don't think it was ever in doubt - just wish we had a couple of thousand more tickets to really push the semi - 1 week to go and sold out seems to be a bit of a shame for our sport. We are so "multi-cultural" as fans, I'm sure people from Leigh and the surrounding areas would've turned up on the day to see this game cause it's that highly anticipated.
I know there's a coach load of Hull fans going - it's a shame to have the general public "locked out" so to speak.
I will wish you the best of..... well, no, I won't, I hope you're team capitulate lol but I mean that in the nicest possible way as I'm sure you understand
Here's to a great game that lives up to the hype - one of us is going to Wembley guys!!!

Thanks for that mate. Been to many semi finals over the years and they are never about form - just who performs on the day. Played Saints twice in the eighties when we were red hot favourites and came unstuck both times, and that with our great team of the time. Should be a great game with whoever controls the ball and ruck the best coming out on top. Should that be you, hope you go on and win it - the game has got boring with the same old faces winning trophies year in year out.
