SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied

If you do/did why should it matter , several clubs including Bradford have had a majority of foreign players in their teams in SL , if that is what it takes and is within the rules you are set , then you will do it

I'm not bigging up Barrow or slagging off the franchise system, however where are you going to find the additional £1,200,000.00 to pay for your new team when you are calling for fans to pay for one of your top players wages for next season to keep him?

So basicaly any team could be competative with the backing of the sky payments...you must be so proud of your great promotion team then, or very greatful of the franchise system......As a fan its not the way I would want to be promoted. |

and how many times does it have to be said.. Its not that we can't afford to keep him.. its the salary cap.. At the end of the day, Us fans don't have to contribute.. We WANT to contribute..
Also, any additional money could easily come from sky, more sponsorships or even the back pocket of Steve o'connor.. |

I was asked how we would get the money so i gave an answer?  What do you want me to say? You want us to reject the Sky money, if its there, you use it. |

Promotion is now based predominantly on off-field crietria. Widnes tick most boxes (to coin a phrase) in this sense. Widnes should be promoted. It really is that simple.
Like Starbug said, it's the system that is wrong and not the problem of Widnes however ridiculous we all know it is.
