3 very good players , my only negative would be Ainscough , good as he is with ball in hand with a bit of space , you will not find many wingers in any pro league under 6 foot tall , that could well be the reason that W1g4n have let you have him

As for these players not making your 1 st team squad if all are fit , I'd suggest there will be a clause in the agreement requiring them to play a % of 1 st team games , you are [ just as we are ] the beggars in these deals , not the choosers

He scored 17 trys in all competitions in 12 games including 3 or 4 at Barrow in the challenge cup.

If I were a Widnes fan i'd be very excited at the prospect of watching him in action. He's a real matchwinner and an exciting talent. He gets you on the edge of your seat when he recieves the ball in space and is a great finisher. He's also sueprb at bringing the ball from his own line.

Hopefully he can brush up on a couple of weaknesses in his time with Widnes. He just needs the experience of first team rugby to improve in those areas imo.

Can understand the concern - as you say, you'll be in the same situation with the Wire lads, but from what the Wigan fans have said, these lads are top quality. Obviously there could be a conflict of interest if 1 or more of the dual contract players are playing poorly, but these lads should be no mugs and hopefully they will earn a place in the team on merit rather than having to play.

For what its worth, I think Leigh have picked up some good players from Wire, so again, I can't see the situation where Leigh are are having to play the Wire lads, rather than wanting to.

As a Barrow fan, I would be amazed but very happy if we could replicate our achievements of last season, finishing in the top 3 or 4 would be a more realistic target as I do believe we over achieved last season. If this will be good enough for our Chairman is another story.
As for being jealous nothing could be further from the truth, every Barrow fan knows that our stadium is our downfall and will eventually prevent us from obtaining a super league licence come 2011. Out of the 3 clubs that have ticked a box so far, I believe that yourselves are a nailed on certainty, Halifax will miss out because of the amount of Yorkshire clubs already in the SL, and we will miss out because of our s*****p of a ground. Toulouse will also get a licence even if they fail to tick a box because the powers that be are desperate to get another French team into SL.
Hopefully by 2014 our ground will be up to standard and we will have better a youth team structure in place, therefore giving us a better chance of a franchise, providing the goal posts aren't moved again.
Anyway good luck for the coming season and some great matches. Let the battle commence on the pitch and the banter off it.
