| Minimum 700 from Fev and they were (understandably) in good voice.

| something like that. a little over 5000. excellent figures this year, especially given the gash performances. easily most if not all of the top ten championship crowds this season have been our home games.

| I think your fans have done you proud this year.
What kind of crowds do you reckon next year?

They reckon between 700-1000 were there from Fev.
Maybe more if they also counted the fancy dress party down the street.

I reckon - if we make a couple of bigger name signings - we'll average 7000+ in the 1st year

| Hard to say. But i am optimistic on this front, working of attendences since the inception of the stronghold i reckon your talking around 4000ish in the stronghold already now (assuming all current season ticket holders sign up) with a long time until next season and christmas still to come, the added incentive of getting your name on the away shirt (which im sure will persuade some to sign up sooner rather than later) i have also had very pleasent correspondence with brian O'connor regarding that very point, he always replies in a speedy fashion so i would like to publicly big him up. Then we factor in the (easily) 2000 glory hogs who will only show up to watch widnes playing in superleague and crowds are potentially very good indeed. I would also say around 7000ish in the first season, but thats 7000 home fans, away support is obviously larger in superleague and its safe to say the games against Wire, Wigan and Saints will be sell outs or very close to it.

| Unless something we cant yet identify changes over the course of the next four or five months i cant see Betts lasting the first half of next season. Steve O connor is no mug and will not tolerate in the top flight for any great length of time. That being said, i think we are certainly heading in the right direction with recruitment and (for the most part) retention so the playing staff are looking in decent shape, its the coaching side of things that is liable to fail. Anything better than bottom would be a success in year one, going on recent years, 8-10 wins will see us home in at least 13th. I think thats a reasonable expection of wins with the squad we seem to be putting together.

Sounds a realistic view...I kind of wonder how betts is still there at all given some of the performances this season..my main worry If i was your top man would be that if betts cant cut it in the Championship then matters not how many good players you sign he wont hack it in S/L
if the the coaching methods and tactics are pants, then its not looking too good.
Its all well and good saying we have three years there is no rush, I think if I was a fan I would want us to be reaching for the stars from day 1.
Good luck either way ..

| I agree with you CUSHLER and a great shout, watched widnes for 35 yrs cant understand how a club with so much ambition can have such an inexperianced coach especially after our last super league experiance , think playin in this division gettin our backside kicks by all top 4 sides is a joke 100 points in 2 games just not acceptable by a team moving up to superleague! we need to start our first year up and running with the correct players and coach in place , cant suck betts saying on radio "all coaches will make mistakes with some signings "not acceptable in my book at least Paul Cullens signings at Warrington are now bearing the fruits now !
