Like him or loathe him, I'm sure Des had made a few ears bleed at Red Hall already today.

But just what can we do ?? The RFL say one thing and do another all the time. They said they'd pay for the temporary floodlights that Sky insisted on when they visited Barrow. What happens? They go back on their word and dock £26,000 from this years money.

Disgraceful from the RFL again. I am happy enough with expansion of the game but not if it means treading on the toes of the people and teams that have kept the RFL going throughout the years. Widnes have made drastic changes over the last few years to make sure they are knocking on the SL door when franchises are up again. If they have that door slammed in their faces they may as well just give up because come the next round of franchises it will be a Scottish/Irish or Spanish side they will want fast tracking into the SL.

I really do feel for you guys we at Hull had a very lucky break at a critical time, you didn't get a lucky break you worked and turned the club around and it seems the RFL are doing all they can to sh*t on you from a great height.

I really don't think Widnes will be affected by this though. It's another SL club alongside Salford which should now be worried.

The applications haven't even gone in though yet.Whilst we still have a chance,however small,diplomacy has to be the best policy.No point in pessing on your own chips.

littlerich Salford will be gone if they go down, i know that isnt something we should be bothered about but they would go under. Wakefield are another who would go under, Possibly Cas may survive but how would the RFL look if clubs went under? the press would have a field day with it.

I don't think they would. They didn't last time. Neither did Cas. Not that the RFL would care really. One thing that's in your favour is the financial surety that is SOC. He'll have laid that groundwork already with the bods at Red Hall. After the debalce in South Wales and the big trading losses of clubs like HKR, the RFL will welcome a financially secure club amongst the ranks.

What will be disasterous would be the relegation of Cas/Wakefield. RL can't afford to lose another Yorkshire club from SL

I am completely fed up with this dishonest sport. All the effort, money and support and it will all be for nothing.

I hope anyone effected by this pursues legal action. All of them.
