Mixed reactions were inevitable, though I'm surprised that other teams fans have said it's a poor appointment, Cullen has been in SL for the last 6 years and coached England, so his CV in currently as good as anyones in our division.

I've spoke to people that know and have worked with Cullen who said he's learnt alot from his time at Warrington and will be a great appointment at Widnes. Infact there were surprised no one else had snapped him up in SL in the off season.

What do you expect,i've watched widnes since 1973 and hatred has always been there,it was bound to happen it just guts me that he aint gunna take us anywhere and he's wire that's the way i feel so be it.

Did a lot of good work at Warrington,unfortunately a lot of people remember the last year as being disappointing.Had a big say in the youth developement down here,which is now starting to show with a few of the youngsters coming through and hopefully for the good of the game will do the same at Widnes.

Did a very good job up at Haven and I've no doubt he''ll do the same at Widnes.Think he's too professional a bloke,to let his Warrington favourism affect his new job.Needs a good start against Toulouse and I think he''ll get it.

Just give him a chance and a bit of time and in 3 years time you'll be in SL.
