I don't know Dug Out, I heard from sources within the club that terms were agreed with Danny Tickle, who would have commanded a big wage himself. Most seem to think Widnes couldn't agree a fee with Hull FC though.

We seem to be cutting the cloth on spending, but i feel our weakness is Secondrow and looseforward if get injuries.I like a hooker too but i feel this a dream to sign him.But be nice if Hock did sign, as i feel we would go up the table with a signing like him.

Never thought sign Brown or Briscoe.So why not sign Hock if O Connor spends his money.We need a top secondrower and rotation to keep players fresh.

Being told Gareth Hock's move from Wigan to Widnes could be on a season long loan, with announcement in next 48 hours.

For those that don't know Phil Wilkinson writes for the Wigan Observer and is generally on the ball with this sort of thing.

Really hoping and praying this is true! Hock could do a great job for us.

I hope this rumour is true he would be a great signing as a player he is best forward around
