The RFL are extracting the urine big style, putting a plug for Wrexham Crusaders on there.

So is this the one forced upon us or did the sport not go down that route? Because if we get Crusaders propaganda on there every week I wont bother.

I notice they aren't advertising Widnes's games on the Leeds Website ?

Exactly the same as the Leigh one but with different flavour. Seems we can't be trusted to run our own website by the powers that be.

I was under the impression that the decision (to have the new website) was purely down to the club? The way I saw it, we needed a new site, the RFL have templates on the cheap, so we have took them up on their offer.

I know having Weston Point Studios was no longer an option but you would have thought someone would have been able to do a website? The one we had before the last one (upto the end of 2007)) was a bit dated but was fine. Would I be right in saying that one was done by someone in their spare time? Chris Lines was it?

The new one looks ok, but I wonder how advanced the site is, how limited we will be in putting on our own content and how much RFL stuff we will have to have on?

That's what is worrying me. If the club have chosen to go down this route fair enough but our independence is absolutely vital at this point in time.

Hardly a big issue using an existing inexpensive website format

I would assume that the RFL 'templates' use some sort of content management system which given a little training would be relatively easy for the club to update and add functionality without the use of fancy scripting or products like dreamweaver..

I think its sound, everything easy to view and part of it updated by the RFL
