What a complete load of guff! why does anybody have to 'meet' with internet hosts!!?? Its a damn website they could have had the thing back on line within a day using a different host if they wanted and they certainly don't need to meet anybody! I smell a rat.

It is a bit of a weird thing to hear. A site of that size hardly warrants a meeting with an hosting company. It'd be like me having a meeting with Sky because I want to add sports to my package.

Can anyone put an update on here re what is happening at present?

It does seem a long while since the site went down.

I think they are just waiting for an EU resolution to approve the server move before a Papal blessing and then they should be good!

The forum is dire anyway. They run a really old version of the forum script they use. No wonder it uses so many resources. Update, move to a VPS and harden the server. Offered my help but just got ignored because the staff would "need retraining" (rubbish). You can't give away advice these days.

You definitely wouldn't need to meet the host. If you're doing that I question how much money is wasted on the server. They should look for a better, more reasonable host - which I'd be happy to recommend a few of.
