ah well you got Rooney to sign for you but he had already played in super league before. whereas Ellis hasnt played in super league and no matter how much money you have every player would want a crack at super league and Ellis might want that chance to be now.
For a start anyway i beleive that Widnes are in front of you in terms of the franchise. i would say that Halifax might be maybe one step further on than you as well. toulouse as well will be in the running just because there French.
Ellis will know there is competition for super league spots in 2 years time and that there are no guarentees of you getting in which means staying with you for 2 years to find out.
offers from super league dont come along every day he might want to grab it with both hands. |

you do realise the season finished at the weekend and that they have the whole winter to assemble a squad.
i hope they dont assemble a top notch squad because i would like as little competition for us to win things next year as possible but to believe Widnes won't be competitive next year would be like beleiving it will never rain in England again.
theres time, they will get some players in they always find some way to be competitive. |
