from what i saw Kain was awesome last year cant think of a better 7 this year Black startted well and tailed off Webster only had a handfull of good games.

Kain has had his best season in a rovers shirt - noticeably improving after the release of Handforth at the end of the 08 season.

Harris going will mean the loss of an organiser - for which someone will have to step into that role! However, as a stand off, Harris showed only glimpses of what I expected throughout the season and other than the play-offs (excluding his onfield directorship) he wasn't a particular stand-out player.

Briggs will step into the role and may interchange at stand off with one of the new recruits.

We've a good set of forrads stiffened up even more with the addition of the two widnes recruits and a decent back line if the visas for the 2 PNG internationals can be sorted.

Will we win owt??? Lord knows. Fax, if they were coached by anybody else should win trophies. I just don't think Calland has what it takes with such a good side.
Barrow will still be the one's there or there abouts at the end of the season.
The rest of us will be the challengers and if we can remain injury free, and get on a roll at the right end of the season (like we almost did), then we could be within a shout.

Will it be more of a case of there abouts though with Steve Mac in charge?

Dunno. I'd prefer him to Calland! and TBH, (not cos he's fev's coach) I'd prefer Daryl to both of em!
I wished Daryl had the resources to offer players what Barrow were. I think we overestimate exactly how much Des Johnstone does contribute as opposed to how much the club generates.
It's known to agents that Fev were offering good terms in the market place but still couldn't match Barrow Fax and surprisingly Leigh.

I still think this league is by far the most competitive, the best entertainment and best value for money.
I'm just being selfish here, but it'll be a shame in 2012 that we'll be losing one member from this league to SL. But I would take the chance if it was Fev that won the franchise - like that's going to happen!
