yes i am playing for a club that will finish higher in the table than the previous one i played for.

Bob was great today, he threw the ball in touch twice for us.

TBH I have no malice or any dislike towards fax, but chuffed that BB isn't going to a final.

To be fair to Bob he'd still be at the club now if it hadn't been for the miserly sum he was offered to stay on. Fax was his only option in the end and I'd have him back next year.

Bob leaving was right for the club and it was right for the player too IMO Chris. Everything Widnes did on the field for the last two years was through Smith and Beswick in the middle (excluding Myler in the plays for example in the two games Richie got for us!)

No axe to grind with Bob but I think our football was very stale and it was time for him to go.

TBF Bob's done nothing in the three games we have played against Fax thise season. He flatters to deceive at times. His desicion making and execution can be poor!!!

It's a fair point about Bob and to be honest at the end of last season I completely agree that the move was the right thing for him and the club. However, the games against us apart, he seems to have become a little rejuvinated at Halifax. Or so the fax fans would have you believe.

I don't think we have found a suitable loose forward and I appreciate that at times last year it was as if we were playing without one but if he is / has found form at loose at Fax he might be a decent addition again in what is one of the more pivotal positions. I have it on good authority that he was bitterly disappointed that he had to leave and has said to some at the club that he would take the time to try and impress and maybe come back at some stage if he could. It doesn't seem as though he harbours any major resentment at leaving and understands he underperformed. Maybe it's this attitude that has impressed me.
