We were bad but Laughton was as bad as usual. Not because he favours Widnes but just because he seems to have an axe to grind with our players for whatever reason.
To call our fans scum and inbreds is pretty rich considering some of the cretins that support your team. Eg last night when a fat chap screamed in my 3 year old sons ''get the fat ing ginger of the ing pitch''. Also enjopyed the signs two fingers and general hatred towards the Haven fans every time Widnes scored (loads of times).
Widnes fans throwing and kicking off at the NRC is probably the reason Haven dont really like Widnes coupled with a general arrogance and Newcastlesque ''were a big club really'' mentality.
Enjoy the real cup final next week. |

Calm down, calm down.
TBF every club has a few idiots that spoil it for everyone else. Its a tad unfair to have a go at Whitehaven as a club just because of a few idiots, likewise having a go at Widnes for the same.
Back to the match. I dont think Laughton singles out Whitehaven for any reason, I just think he's a poor ref. However when you come to our place, i think your teams sole intention is to knock us about a bit and to try and get on top of us but it doesnt work, fair play though thats your style.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt.

Awww Haven dont really like Widnes, well straight back at you with that one. Not been Whitehaven for a few years now and wont be going again, aggressive fans and a total dump of a ground. |

I absolutely echo these sentiments. Having to associate ourselves with Whitehaven and compete with them is a complete embarrassment. |

Are you on smack mate?
Firstly may I be the first to offer my condolences to your club, as you have never been beaten fairly by Widnes. I'd have to go back to pre SL to name an occasion Widnes deserved a vicotry against you lot, you always get a rough end of the stick, not just from Laughton but from EVERY ref in the pro/semi pro game. You need justice.
As for you not liking us, I doubt any of us give a rats tbh, you're a minor irrelevance. Well apart from giving us a few of your players over the past few years of course. I seem to remember plenty of people feeling a bit edgy about going to the rec ground too due to treatment on previous visits. I recall being up there last season and some bright spark labelled us 'scousers with Manc accents'. Very interesting. |
