Surely bull and a rumour. Yes Paddy makes the odd mistake but i'd still have him in the side ahead of either of the Chuckle Brothers Isa and Ah Van.

I see Paddy scored twice for Workington in their Derby defeat at Whitehaven. Poor Briscoe looks as though he was replaced after 13 minutes! I also noticed Craven was down on the teamsheet at 9 but I wonder if he played 6?

Paddy definitely had a mixed day today for Town. He scored a try in the first few minutes, then tried to trap a ball with his foot but the ball bounced up hit his chest and they got ball and scored. Next he went in to dummy half near our line and knocked-on and they again picked the ball up and scored. Next in a simple one on one the Whitehaven winger stood him up and walked round him to score. He then scored another try in the corner.

Not one of his better days but it was only his second game for Town. Craven played at 6 and apart from the odd misplaced kick played okay and scored a try after a Haven player had dropped a high kick on his own line. Briscoe had to go off after 12 minutes and it's believed to be a cartilage problem that may require a clean out.

Another lengthy lay-off?

Paddy hasn't been training with Widnes, normally the next step in that process is that players are released. guess we will just have to wait and see.

But has he not been training with Workington instead, seeing as he's been playing for them??

Maybe he has been loaned to them for the rest of the season. I still think that leaves us short as Owens is not a natural winger. I suppose DB would play Isa there if needed, where he is at least ok defensively, even if he doesnt pose much threat in attack. Seems that poor Paddy had a bit of a shocker despite his two tries. I hope he is persevered with as there is some talent there. If he can recapture his form with Worky that might have him ready for next year!

Nothing from the Club to confirm hes been released or loaned out. He was in the 19 for the Leeds game and didnt make the 17, but was clearly not in the 19 against Bradford and he played for Worky. Anything could be happening we just dont know. He clearly "deserts his post" in defence and I assume he was held responsible for 2 of the Catalan tries from the PTB right on the line on his wing. I still hope he gets more time to hone his defensive skills perhaps the plan is for him to do that at Worky..
If he cant get it right in the Championship maybe it isnt going to happen for him.

Well he got it seriously wrong in our game against Whitehaven on Sunday, he was directly at fault for 3 of their tries.....

Well if that is the case i cant see him getting in the Widnes 19 until rectifies this to be honest.Yes Flynn is a good finisher at times and usually good at taking high balls.
