At least Wigan fans come on here hoping we do well unlike some Wire fans.It is a friendly and means nothing.To be honest early days and my worry is how good Betts is as a coach.Positives we will improve and negatives it is our first run out.I will make more of a judgement after the Saints friendly and the Wakefield game.

He'll never do that. Moore is feisty, which works well sometimes and is a total disaster on other occasions. He's almost guaranteed to give a penalty away each match. He'll need to be kept on a short leash by his coach.

Who cares about history unless you're living it? all Wigan fans from the SL era haven't seen that much success, Widnes fans non at all and Wire fans a couple of challenge cups.

It's boring, the only seasons that count are the previous one when someone is holding a trophy and the current one when people are either trying to retain or take it off someone else.

Positives: Some rugby fans want an adult conversation.
Negatives: Too many kids wanting to talk about completely irrelevant guff rather than just the game.

You should write off this season. The only games you should concentrate on are the "Local Pride" games (Wire, Saints and Wigan). They are the games that will bring in interest from the Widnes population. Use this time to bed in the core of your future squad and really go for it next season (2013) with some quality imports (you can bag off the likes of Ah Van et al and bring in a quality Aussie coach while your at it) whilst developing your own youth players pf course.
