| I don't really like playing this game but the one man that matches our ambitions and has the tools to deliver is Powell.
He is very (and rightly so) committed to Featherstone though.
I'm still waiting to see what can be done between now and the London game. Betts has a challenge I really hope he has the mettle for it. I want the guy to do well.

| Sorry to say this but whoever you get this season'if it's true' won't make a lot of difference.
You have a squad just as capable of competing as us Leythers did in our one season in what was then Superleague (non relegation league now of course).
Your club may as well wait till the end of the season and save the money' then if you want to get anywhere go for Millward.

I know what you're saying but its not just the win/loss record people are worried about, its the manner of the defeats. Wakey 2nd half 5 tries to 1 and the Widnes 1 was a bit of a fluke off a charge down. Against Huddersfield we conceed 12 tries including 5 tries in the 1st 25 minutes = game over already. People tried to dismiss this defeat because it was huddersfield, but against Salford, it was more of the same and the game was over by half time 6 tries to Salford 32 - 6 down. From half time against Wakey to half time against Salford we conceeded 22 tries in 160 minutes = a try against every 7 minutes. Its not far off a point a minute.
No-one expects us to get the results against the sides challenging for the top, but we do expect us to at least resemble a SL side. At the moment its 50-50 as to whether we're any better than the top Championship sides. A decent coach would at least come in and get us organised and playing to some sort of gameplan. The way we're playing at the moment you'd either think that we didn't have a coach or that the coach didn't have clue what he was doing. I would like to think that at the very least a coach like Kear or Harrison would get get us playing with a bit of passion - which strangely seems to be missing. You would think that a brand new team in SL would be out to prove a point and play with 100% commitment. Against Huddersfield and and Salford Personally I think we have been beaten before a ball was kicked.

| I'd be looking at a sprint coach perhaps a former player who benefitted from a sprint coach in the past naming no names

| Betts may well turn out to be not good enough at this level but you must allow him time to be fair. At Leeds there were many calling for McDermott's head for the first 3/4 of the season but they were wrong as history has proven as he also needed time as Betts now does. I suspect Cullen mught be the bigger problem
You haven't yet fielded your best side - because of your 'perfect condition' pitch you have not had the benefit of poor conditions to level things down for the stronger sides - you have a lot of new players and coach that need time to adjust - you had poor discipline and errors that cost you one game at least. If you can fix the errors and discipline and improve the half back play then you will soon see a turnaround.
I still expect we will beat you today and benefit from the pitch to play open rugby but best of luck for the rest of the season.

| better sooner than later wait till the end of the season and a new coach will not have time to recruit the players that he wants and that he will be able to work with he would again be left with cast offs

7294.jpg This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history.
I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that.
Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
:7294.jpg |

Thanks for your sentiments. However, Betts has had the best part of last season and we've still not won a game in the league since July 2011. The problem the fans have is that there has been no apparent structure or gameplan since he's been here. We won't see our best side at all this season though.

| Well the mood definitely seems to have lifted temporarily.
People were asking for an improvement and that's what we got yesterday. There are still quite a few individual defensive errors but on the whole as a team I thought they defended well. There were quite a few sets close to our line were we held out and we looked far more willing to pass the ball than we have been previously.
There were quite a few offloads yesterday and I think in time we will get smarter in terms of getting the ball out and making sure there is a receiver available.
He's still getting quite a bit of stick and dropped a dousey of a pass but I thought White was better. His angled kick that caused Jones Bishop to fumble was a nice touch and his passing is improving. We also showed that when the kicker looks up before kicking on the last we can find some space but the problem is getting the kicker to do that.
Briscoe certainly made a difference yesterday. Moving the line around and just having the odd word here and there. Onwards and upwards.
Besides maybe the KR team will be distracted by the fighting amongst their own fans and we sneak a win!!
