| Only 687 more to come? That's a shame as the interest has been through the roof. Hopefully more will become available in the coming week. Will be great if we can get another 5000 plus down to Blackpool

First allocation sold out
Widnes Vikings have sold their initial allocation of 2,800 tickets for the Northern Rail Cup Final against Barrow on July 12th at Bloomfield Road.
A second batch of 687 tickets, for the uncovered stand, blocks S, T and U are due from the RFL at lunchtime today priced £12 and £5. This is likely to be the final allocation we will receive.'"
Missed out on the covered stand by about three places in the queue. Got my tickets reserved for the other stand anyway.

| Good news on the ticket sales, we know what having a big following did at Halifax, hope to make this even better with hopefully around 4.5k Widnes fans.
Tickets will be made available, the ground is a Championship football ground now so it has to hold quite a few, and it's very rare this final is sold out.

Only holds c9,000 but the problem is with the RFL holding back tickets for the dozens of people going to the Nines
As far as I'm aware, it's only been a complete sell out when Cas played Hull KR.

| I fear that if it is declared sold out until the week leading up to the final when a couple of thousand tickets are made available again, we will once again see empty seats despite demand outstripping supply.

Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”

So, if they release a couple of thousand tickets a week before the game, would the scheduled rail service - that would run from Bank quay station Warrington - be able to cope with even half that number and during the busy summer period, with day trippers and holiday makers also going to Blackpool?
To make things worse, there doesn't even seem to be a special laid on from Widnes to alleviate the problem.
Piss up in a brewery by the RFL.

| It's a e ground to host a final and an even more stupid time to hold it. Ok so it's a day out in Blackpool but it's not even fully built. Seriously, it could be done a hell of a lot better than this.

It's difficult really as the whole package needs looking at when picking a venue. Sure it could be moved to somewhere like Doncaster or Warrington etc but that would be boring, i think overall including the day out Blackpool is a decent venue. The ground on the other hand is a little poor, once they get that stand finished behind the post it will increase to ver 13,000 which will be big enough and it will look pretty decent.
Without sounding big headed i bet the RFL are chuffed to bits Widnes are in the final, they know it will guarantee a good crowd on TV and the Vikings always travel in big numbers.
Lets invade Blackpool and make it Widnes for the day just like Halifax.

Barrow for Super League 2015: |
|
| Quote: Bertie Magoo's PA "it won't be a sell out'"
I wouldn't be so sure.
Barrow RL are estimating 3,500 as already about 2,500 have been sold through Barrow Rugby Shop. The club are desparately trying to get more tickets due to demand. I also know that a lot booked tickets on the Thursday night after we beat Fev via the RFL website (prior to the shop sales).
Add on the Widnes fans neutrals and you're pretty much at the 9,000-odd capacity.
Should be a cracking atmosphere.

That's a fantastic effort by the Barrow fans. It should provide a brilliant atmosphere.
Well done Barrow.
