who said anything about ditching the yoof? that seems to be the default response when anyone dares mention that widnes would inevitably have to sign players if we go up.
we would have to sign players and the assumption we wouldnt and should just rely on half a dozen youngsters (not enough for a team anyway) is rather obtuse.

Even if Halifax or Barrow get the nod, they would need to sign probably just as many as Widnes to put a competative team on the field. However they wouldnt be able to draw on their youngsters if they suffer an injury crisis.
