We bumped into a couple of these ' fans ' last friday as we walked through Leigh after disembarking the coach from Wakey
" Have you been watching Leigh ? " , fairly obvious considering there was 5/6 of us wearing replica shirts at 10.30 pm on a friday night , but that question alone gives you an idea of their mentality
" Leigh are crap ", was the next statement , Have you watched them this year ? , er no , so when was the last time you watched them ?
" They were good when Millward was there "

My mate used to work there and his sister assistant manager, heard its been re opened but only on fridays, saturdays and sundays.
No one have Patto in their team for Friday if fit? Widnes' most under rated player imo. |

TBH I rated Mark Roberts highly.........but when Adam Higson broke into the 1st team there was only gona be one winner for the spot, and it wasnt Roberts......... good player but we have unearthed a quality player in Higson.

TKL is a great centre at this level BUT........ too injury prone and doesnt play enough games over the season to demand the money he was on at Leigh.....hence being released, and he WAS released by Kelly due to this fact.

Don't think we ever used Roberts in quite the right role as he's a strange sort of player, and I think the emergence of Higson was the nail in the coffin. |
