| I don't like to be negative, but the score line flattered us!
Yes it's good to be able to score long range tries, but what else do we have?
We have to carry the ball and make yards. Five and a kick. Play them in their half.

| Clarkeys stats for 2nd half-
Leeds had the ball for 20 sets, we had 11.
Out of those sets we had just 10 play-of-the-ball in their 40!

| Your flair is enjoyable to watch and you score some cracking tries but Jesus wept... hold onto the ball sometimes and stop the stupid play the ball penalties. I noted you did both of those things at Saints last month and reaped the rewards. If you did it every week you'd be in the top 8.

We lack another good hooker with quick hands and ptb.Need to replace Isa,Leuluai, and our kicking game is awful.Composure and some big forwards also missing in the prop department.Sometimes our play is brilliant and Sky never mention Widnes players missing.Leeds still had class players on the pitch.

| Yep only had ourselves to blame, Leeds played well though particularly in containing us in our 20 in the second half.
Too many basic errors in attack and defence robbed us of promising positions. The worst thing was losing the ball after we had scored, which we did at least twice, just when you want to consolidate and go again, we just handed the initiative over to Leeds.
Scored some great tries though, Mellor in particular showed a turn of speed I hadn't seen from him before.
On the plus side we were in the game for long periods and despite Leeds absentees it was a decent effort. Composure in critical areas though continues to be lacking despite having Brown on the field. Our kicking out of hand was poor as usual, a lot of work needed on that and as Clarkey said O'Carroll needs to make sure he has got decent studs in his boots when playing on grass!

| As a side, 80% there in my opinion and improving all the time.
Don't often agree with the Sky commentators, but I reckon your be contending in the playoff's next season. Widnes are an enjoyable team to watch and Betts has got you playing with some great passion. Its all credit too them that their heads don't go down when at Leeds and Leeds get on top.
Handbury's try was one of the best of the season in my opinion - reminds me of the sort of try that Tom Briscoe can score at times.

| Just an observation, Ah Van is a liability and you need to get rid. He cost you dearly at critical points of the game last night and against Wigan. Was impressed with Mellor though; he's one to watch. I echo others comments that Widnes are entertaining to watch, you're competing with the big boys and soon enough things will click into place.
I also think Leeds are overrated and can easily be turned over. Stevo was raving about McShane but all I see is some average little fat pudding doing the basics right...

You can see the resemblance in 40 years' time can't you? Actually, the little git does seem to have that Kevin Dick trick licked though - pity there was a clear obstruction to chalk his try off.
I can' t get why we tackled like trojans near our line for much of the second half yet let JJB amble into three blokes on the 5th and get over? Did you ever see the likes of that? Pickersgill was rank last night. He didn't even stick an arm out when Rob Burrow ran at a half-gap and cross the line in the first half. Magraff had a decent spell but Dave Allen, Hock, even Hep - none covered themselves in glory.
We could/should have won that - how many more times are we going to say that before we win our next game?
Joe Mellor for Man of Steel.
