I said on this board many times last season that Widnes would be an embarrassment in SL and should NEVER have been given a licence and have been proved to be spot on.

The RFL only granted you a licence so they wouldn't have to put up with 3 more years of you moaning and bleating about not getting in as what happened when you were refused in 2008.

I am totaly in favour of you guys being back in SL

Unfortunately you are not a competitive team at this level at the moment and that is due to incompetences of the way SL is run.

You have to look at this as a 5 year project to get competitive and don't look at weekly results and the table.

Personally I would get rid of the old has beens you have and nurture young talent and take loan players for a full season and gradually build. A good example was O'Brien he was good for you although only for 4 games and we have benefited from that.

Always look forward to the derbies and of course beating you is always fun. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Another Warrington fan here, embarrassed by the OP.

It will take a long time for Widnes to get up to scratch, and I'm not sure your current coach is making much progress. An earlier poster asked how long mediocrity would be accepted, but unfortunately mediocrity is an ambition for Widnes at the moment, you're nowhere near reaching mediocre.

Still, it's to the benefit to Warrington and the whole league for Widnes to be competitive, and I hope it happens sooner rather than later. I'd start with the pack, as your current one is absolutely clueless.

To be fair you played a Warrington side at the top of their game yesterday and after 20 minutes the game was over. Kevin Brown is a good start for next year, but now you really need to look at strengthening the pack and bin some of your seriously below standard overseas players. Most of us would love to see a competitive Widnes side again, then we could get back to those good old fashioned derbies again.

Good to see that the overwhelming majority of Warrington fans are decent. Thanks for the best wishes all. We know it's a tough ask to come up and compete straight away but all we want to see is effort in every game & that's what we lack. From the effort we saw against Les Cats to what we saw yesterday it looks like 2 totally different teams.

Correct we have played well in a few games at home, but been terrible in the away games.We need to stay loyal and hope comes good mate.All i want is effort every week like the Catalans game.If lose i wont mind if competing.
