Not sure Wigan rested 'all' their players!?!?!? Widnes played well, battled and got a deserved victory against a team predicted to thrash us in any guise / line-up. I think we'll win a handful of games this season, hopefully more...

I genuinely think that they thought looking at the Videos of us in other matches that they could turn up with that team and win... however that was one of the best team displays I have seen for a long long time... since possibly Fev away in the NRC cup last year. It potentially could have been a little more comfortable had Flynn taken the pass out wide in the first half.
We did have a fair few players missing today ourselves.
Cross, Hanbury, Moore and Ah Van, that's not mentioning the long term injured of Watts and Kavanagh. No doubt the Wigan first teamers missing will be mentioned whilst our list won't get a word.

Unfortunately the case.
Pretty much as soon as the whistle was blown all talk was on the players Wigan were missing and it was coming from the media and the club, not just the fans.
Favourites for the league and they can't rely on their squad? They can't rest three key players against the bottom team? We've been given credit in certain quarters but it's been with an emphasis on the "but". Well, we can only beat who is in front of us and Wigan's squad is supposed to be strong enough to win the league. We were missing more key players than they were arguably and were relying on a brand new half back partnership and two debutants with no recent experience.
We get our first win of the season and some of our tries were brilliant and it's still all about Wigan and what they failed to do. |

Or indeed having some of their first choice players injured at the same time, like Watts, Moore. Ah Van, Dean and Kavanagh.
The coach selects the team and the opposition play that team. In fact, players like Russell and Murphy had good games. |

I thought you would have learnt by now,especially if Eddie and co analyse
a game,its not the opposition played well,it was the fact Leeds /Wigan played badly. |
