| I'd be shocked if we got over 8k, surprised if we got more than 7.

| I think about 8,000 will be about right for your first game back. Though I think we'll win the game I'm slightly worried about Widnes' unknown quantity, and I remember we were whipping boys before for Hull KR when they returned and at Wire for the unveiling of their new ground and lost both games. So, as predictions go, my view is a close, entertaining game on the plastic paradise in front of a partisan crowd with Trinity just edging it by 7 pts. Good to have you back, quite like Widnes, always admired their strong team of the 70s and 80s with Reg Bowden, Stuart Wright et al.

Be nice to get that attendance but I doubt it, both ends would be open I presume, mind you I think they did that for the Salford game a few seasons back and put the schoolkids in the West Stand.

On thread drift:
Tough. Conversations develop. It's their nature.[/quote:24qn1m99]
Little Pepe went to nursery school one day wearing his Widnes hat. His teacher asked him why he was a Widnes fan. He said, “Because my parents are.” His teacher said, “That’s not good. What would you do if your parents were drug dealers and hookers?” He replied, “Well then I would be a Warrington fan.”
[i:24qn1m99]There's a Wooly over there, baggy kecks and feathered hair
with a 3 star jumper half way up his back, that’s a fecking Wooly back![/i:24qn1m99]
[b:24qn1m99]Oooh-to… Oooh-to-be… Oooh-to-be-a… WOOLY![/b:24qn1m99]:24307.jpg |
|
| I'm looking forward to the game now and I'm even getting a little, uncharacteristically, excited.

| Quote: Paul T - HKR "Tough call in that both teams are unknown quantities.
Its well documented Wakey would have lost out in the franchise renewals, which I think brings another edge to this encounter. Both teams will be out to prove a point, with Wakey maybe having far more to prove.
As much as I would like to see Widnes start their new SL era off with a win, I think good old Yorkshire grit will see Agar's charges nicking it in the last quarter.'"
Except it's not well documented is it?
This is the result of the lazy journalism and media driven assumption both pre and post franchise decision, the truth it is not!
Beleive me I KNOW 1st hand that Wakefields franchise application was better than Celtics, Halifax's and at least two other clubs.
This "Wakefield saved by Crusaders withdrawal" statement has now almost become fact for no other reason than it's been said a lot and no one has continually challenged it.

| Watts out for 2 weeks is believed to be the rumour with his hamstring. Hope its not true, if all that was true about the hamstring playing up in cold weather etc i really cant see him playing.

7294.jpg This is history. This is history. Right here. Right now. This is history.
I thought it was Widnes?
All games are winnable, whats hard to understand about that.
Wakefield turn over a big club every season and i see no reason why Widnes can't do the same.
:7294.jpg |

| Quote: OFFTHECUFF "If Watts has a good game and is fit he could be the match winner.I have only watched him briefly against Saints, and he was magic and the best halfback i have seen in a Widnes shirt for a long time.'"
My mate emailed me before and he reckons that he's the best since Tony Myler. Definitely worth a tenner for Man of Steel I reckon, on the proviso that he stays fit of course. Just set up an account with ApolloBet to put this bet on which is an absolute bugger to do. Ballache!!

Just think of the £670 return . I'm going to put something similar on myself, its a shot in the dark but thats why its 66/1.
