Aye. I did laugh. For a month all we heard was how widnes were the only club allowed to run an academy, how Leigh weren't allowed to even though they wanted to and how it was corrupt and designed purely for us. All month I asked for some context, some evidence, and got none. Then Featherstone announced they were running one next year.

Leythers: "The RFL said we couldn't run one!!"
"Why??"
Leythers: "Don't know...."
"Well didn't someone ask Arthur Thomas if he had asked the RFL why?"
Leythers: "No..."
"Doesn't that sound like a reasonable question to ask?"
Leythers: "Errrm....... no!?!? We're just not allowed to run one because we're Leigh!!!!"

Glad you share the paranoia, Dalton 
Widnes are a well-run club and a model to us all (find rich owner and put structures in place) but realistically they don't fit in with the RFL's dreams of world domination so you just need to keep your heads down and go about your jobs quietly and efficiently once your up there, or risk being sent back down next time around for upsetting the apple cart. |

Oh yes great system last time to get Crusaders in but as soon as one of the treasured SL clubs is under threat it's oh what a terrible system
