| Gavin has given his all for Widnes over the years and has treated us to some real classic moments. I would be sad to see him go as he is loved by most of the crowd and i think he feels at home with the club.

| Doddy is a legend!!!
He might not be our best player, but he gives absolutely everything. He's not one of those players who are irreplaceable, but I'd be sad to see him go.

| If goes he deserves praise for his effort in a widnes shirt.Anybody who shows pride in the shirt gets my vote.Great attitude but if goes i am sure we will have a good replacement.

His flashes of brilliance far out way the 'crazy' things he does. This perception of him by some fans just isn't true at all.'"
He's improved a lot since his first season. I now trust him at full back. He wouldn't be the same player if you ironed out the mental aspects of his game.

Who remembers that classic moment (I think it was) against Oldham, where he ran to catch a bomb, fell over, did a roll over and the ball somehow ended up on his back. He didn't have a clue where the ball was and he went to stand up still with the ball on his back. The ball rolled off his back and he was looking all around to try and find it. It all happened in the space of about 2 seconds, but whilst everyone else was holding their head in their hands, I was in stitches laughing - it could have only happened to Doddy.

| My classic Dodd moment was a tackle he did on Richard Moore at Hilton Park, Moore in them days was around 20 stone and come charging on a pass from about 10 out and somehow Doddy smashed him dead in his tracks on the floor within an inch of the line.
His 60 yard effort against Dewsbury at home the other year was also special. I think he beat about 7 players that day.

| Dodd is a terrific player when he wants to be. He has the odd game where he struggles but who doesn't? The only problem is when a full back has an off game you can leak tries so people notice it more.
Gavin Dodd has been a great player for us and I would be sad to see him go.

Sounds like it don't it!
What's he up to now? Still injured / playing some amture rugby somewhere?
Surely if we are signing and he's injured would be best to get him working with our doctors / physio's so he's right for next year? Wouldn't have to pay him wage on cap either!
