Get in!!! That was the performance we have been waiting for the whole of this season. I had to leave ten minutes before the end to go and watch the Doves at Delamere forest but it was class particularly in the first half.

In the first 5 mins we were subjected to attack after attack from Fev due mainly to slip ups by our players but the defence was excellent. After that we really pushed on. The aggression from our players was fantastic.
Gannon, Morrison, Fletcher, Pickersgill and Doran all got stuck in with great effect and Varkulis is really finding his feet at second row.
Good try taken by Grayshon awell. Very strong.

They moved up in a line on defence and the Fev forwards did not want the ball after a number of punishing tackles. We also moved the ball to Penny well and Hall and Penny look like they are developing a useful understanding.

Webster and Thackray enjoyed themselves out there with willing runners and even Doran looked committed running the ball in.

Smith scooted well from dummy half and Koe Love showed class with the ball in hand taking his try exceptionally well.

Next week poses a much sterner test. It's a real shame that the game isn't being played at home as I think that would make a massive difference but we should go there with a bit more belief.

Quite simply the best we've played all season, the first 40 being the best half in 2 or 3 years.

Training in the evening may be working, can we achieve something this year? Playing like that we can.

I think it's important that we hang on to Pickersgill and Grayshon for the rest of the season, if possible, and hope we don't get injuries to Fletcher, Morrison or Smith. Our pack it clearly getting there now.

I'm not sure if they are a match for Halifax yet, but we must now stand a great chance of turning them over next week. However, we'll have to make sure that left-hand side of defence slides better and stays tight. We seemed to end up with the three worst defenders scattered all over the place and isolated, having to make one on one tackles when out numbered.

we still have bannister, duffy and paterson all to come back for competition for places. things are looking up again.
