| Quote: Pepe "That's probably what the club will do. However, whether he stays in position will depend on who else applies for the job and how his results go. Good luck to Stanky though.
As far as Jon Sharp goes, if he is happy at Hull as a football operations manager, then he lacks the desire to coach again. If that is the case then I wouldn't want him anyway. If he still has drive and ambition he is definitely the man for us. His teams are well organised in the same way John Kear and Brian McDermott's teams are. That's what is required in this league more than anything. John Dixon proved how effective a well drilled side can be in this league. The ability to make the best of what you have is essential imo. Quote: Pepe "That's why I wouldn't go for someone like Hanley or Millward. Both are good in charge of flair players, but I wouldn't regard either as great tacticians.'" '"
Hanley took a team of virtually unknowns and got them to the final of the NRC and took them to Warrington and then promotion to the Championship div 1 , so think he would do a good job for you.

With a team put together by Stanky. Perhaps we'd be better ptting him in at coach?
As far as the NRC was concerned, they had a luck run and were annihilated in the most one sided final I've ever seen.
This is the same man who ripped our club to pieces in the eighties and was the main instigator in getting Martin Offiah to leave Widnes. He can be very arrogant and aloof towards players and will probably lose the dressing room at some point.
I do not want him here!

Aside from chatting e there arent many more experienced coaches that were going to attract.

He's got to be there or thereabouts for this job, even if the fans dont like him and he doesnt like Widnes.
Because his teams are disorganised and hasn't a clue how to change things. He's not the kind of tactician we need in this league. Even with excellent players his team is still rubbish.
Can you tell which of the two coach's I'm talking about there?

I know a few people who have played under Cullen and if anything he is over-organised.
Im not sure if he was ever going to succeed at Warrington or if anyone ever will despite the money. He did kick the club onto the next level though at the end of the Wilderspool/ start of the HJ era.
Again im not sure who would be my first choice but im mindful of not ruling out a very experienced coach, who is available at this time because of his previous connections.
He'll be considered ive no doubt. Im not sure that any of the TIW forum suggestions such as Scarts, John Dixon or Ian Millward will be though.
