Quote: Doc Holliday "He wasn't that bad.'"
I recall a programme with his picture on the front cover with a GB shirt on so he can't have been
that bad like you say, particuarly at the time since Paul Loughlin, Joe Lydon, Jiffy to name a couple being the regular three-quarters at that time.
Quote: Doc Holliday "He was player of the season at Balmain.'"
Nicknamed the "White Pearl".
Quote: Doc Holliday "His tackling was a bit suspect, and a section of the fans didn't take to him (which seems to be a thing with Widnes supporters) but on his day he was a very good player.'"
I think every club has one to be honest and I certainly recall Currier getting plenty of stick from the speccies as a weener sat on the perimeter walling. I don't recall him having any pace either but that said, I also recall an interception at Old Trafford in a Premiership Final. Not sure if he went all the way. Love him or loathe him, and just like the Biscans and Traore's of this world with a Champions League Medal he has got the lot apart from a Challenge Cup Winners Medal. You can't really argue with that.
Now drives Taxi's and didn't take to kindly to our Ray French "Currier, where's he going?" collective comment when he done a U-turn to take us from Weatherspoons one night. Got a tip though.
