They have when they've had a dominant pack around them and that has been our biggest downfall this season.

| We can actually spend upto 400K next year if we can bring in £1m.
Cant see anyone else if this divison being able match that. Some players will obviously be moved on. Think we need a new scrum half, Webster's done ok but there are better, younger Scrum halves in this division which probably come cheaper.

Can't it's 40% of income to a MAX 300K, it was 50% to a max 400k!

Does anybody have a rough idea what our current income is now and how much attendance wise would we have to increase to hit the 1 million mark?
Hopefully we can see a move back to Sunday for next year and get a steady fixed home slot of 3pm. Attendances will naturally increase from this year if that happens and it will also depend on the quality of player brought in. Next year will be key for a lot of clubs as it's the final year to tick the box (glad we have already got that out of the way) and we IMO need to cement ourselves as firm favourites averaging a 4,000+ weekly crowd.

| Apparantly SO'C said at the last player of the month awards that our income is around £750,000.
I've got a great idea - The club introduces a new £50 scratch card - with a guaranteed win of £50. Someone sits in the office, scratces off 5,000 scratch cards, put the £50 through the till 5,000 times and Hey presto our income hits the million pund mark. Alternatively, Stobarts could buy £250,000 worth of merchandise to sell through their website, with any remaining stock sold back to the club at the end of the season.
Maybe SO'C is happy that the cap is lower, at the end of the day, its less money he has to pay out. Could even end up making a profit next year?

| Cheers for that! Didn't know and really interesting! Surely the surge in Merchandise this season can only help!
Also explains why SOC happy to cut cap! Prob hoping that we'd hit the 1mil (which no other side will) then we'd have an extra 100k on anyone else
LIKE IT!!!!

| We are the only club that could potentially hit 1 million in this division but if the rough figures V4E just gave are right then that's a bloody tough ask. A massive advertisement push needs to go out next year. It would be great if say the club announced season tickets at £100 for the year for adults. Lets say we can then push to 2,500 season ticket holders and every season ticket holder gets £10 of the home shirt for next year?

Yea not bad! Wondering if 750k is current estimate or last seasons takings?
Surely having Vikingstorm back in one form would hugely boost sales!
£3 X 500(minimum per game) x 14 games (worst prob) = £21,000 extra in pot!

| Very good point made on TIW! If we at cap limit now - 400k and that's 50% of income then surely we are turning over more like 800k+?

£200,000 is an awful big shortfall. Once all your main income steams have already been accounted for, where does the extra £200,000 come from?

Don't forget the advertising costs also - the companies that pay to advertise in the matchday programmes. £500 say per ad x 20 adverts x 14 games = £140,000, less costs.
The club would need to get the programme as an in house production but it's hardwork.
