Yesterday, Marsh and Phelps played on the opposite sides to where they normally are, Marsh partnered Ah Van on our left with Phelps and Owens on the right, seemed to pay dividends.

In my opinion Marsh is a better strike centre than Phelps so it makes sense to play him on our stronger attacking side.

Hadnt realised that. Marsh is easily our best strike centre but he does suffer a bit from "white line" fever and doesnt always give the ball to his winger when he should. He is always a threat though as is PAV. Phelps and Owens can do ok especially if Brown or Hanbury get involved as the home game against Salford showed.

And to think some fools on the trust forum would have Flynn in the team over PAV.

I noticed Marsh played next to Ah Van and although this might sound like a good thing, the truth is that it totally focused our attack to the left (4 tries) and we still leaked tries all over the place. In my opinion I would keep Marsh on the right if Phelps is available for left - though not if it's Isa.

Going slightly OT, I don't think simply moving players will sort our defensive issues. I think that a whole new approach needs to be trained as it seems to be the defensive tactics failing rather than one player.

People who don't rate Ah Van are those who have only watched us the odd game on Sky.

To be fair to Flynn, I haven't seen him take to the field with a couldn't give a flying **** attitude like Ah Van has.
