just heard that Darren & Benji have been spotted having pint in the Black Horse on Cronton Road

cant see it been super league based players, so maybe a couple of overseas players any names been rumoured?

Only 2 NRL players we have been directly linked with in Aus press are Matty Bowen & Chris Heighington. Now they'd be a great start to SL preparations!

Incidentally I can see Sean Long as his season is over and of course Hull have already recruited two new 7's for 2012!

matty bowen would be a class signing i was hoping we get him but oh well, not sure heighington would come over but you never know. i can also see sean long signing hes confirmed that hes playing next year and he still a great player but if you did get him then make sure you have some back up but what a player to have around the young ones that widnes have

My thoughts entirely! And we do have some quality young half backs coming through and that's not just me saying as they have had international selection and RLWorld previews etc etc.

Long has his critics about behaviour etc etc but to still be offering something in the top flight at 35 he is obviously doing something right!

I'm not getting my hopes up on this following the Betts announcement.

There are a fair few people getting whipped into a bit of an excitement on t'other board but for me I'm just expecting the two names that were mentioned at the weekend on Radio Merseyside. Seems a bit of a coincidence that those names were mentioned and now we are being told that two signings will be announced this lunchtime.

TBH good on the club for this rather innovative way of making the announcement though and a start is a start. But I'm not expecting any familiar names from the NRL.

Hodgson is more than likely one of them, as Huddersfield have allowed him to negotiate elsewhere openly. Not sure if Cahill / Chan / O'Hara can be announced until September.

Hodgson & Long my bet then, 2 British experienced former GB internationals, not a bad start at all IMO!

I'll be gutted if it is Hodgson. I wanted him at Rovers next season!

I have let you all down guys i got talking to paul cullen in the gym this morning, i sweet talked him and even offered him a bribe of £3.20 to reveal the names early, but he wouldnt be drawn on the matter. he seemed pleased with himself when he told me to guess. so maybe its going to be more exciting then we think.
