with all due respect starbug that is complete ass gravey. we actually had a similair turnover last year, but after laying out for what is now widely regarded as the best academy system in the country, paying of a large chunk of the previous administrations debts, and investing a huge amount in new seating and shiney big plasma screens all over the stadium, we made a loss last year. without any of those outlays this year, and with increased sponsorship these numbers are perfectly reasonable. oh and it also helps to have bought shares in the club many years ago and still be rather kindly receiving annual financial breakdowns from the current owners, even tho my shares are long since null and void. so yes, i have seen the numbers, Unlike you. not our fault your lot have orgasms just imagining figures like ours!

So many sour grapes over this announcement we could supply the world's MacDonalds with vinegar for the next century. God knows they need it.

However if you look at your average attendance of 2884 per game, that leaves alot of money found from other avenues.
2884 x £15 (assuming all adult) = £43,260.00

Based on 13 home games...
£43,260.00 x 13 = £562,380.00

With a turnover of £2,500,000.00
£2,500,000.00 - £562,380.00 = £1,937,620.00 to raise outwith of ticket sales.....quite a tall order even for a SL team.

Good luck with your bid and even if the estimates are not that accurate i'm sure you have a good sound profit and will be at the forefront for SL.

If they sold 10,000 replicas on the back of the NRC final they'd clear another 200 K at £ 20 each , but doubt they would have shifted more than half that , so say 100 K in merchandise

Realistically Widnes on gates of 3,000 will pull in around 1.2/3 per year , to double that they would have needed to make the Challenge cup final and ave 7/8,000 attendances
