There isnt a lot of difference between Halifax and Widnes and another very close result tonight. Had the Wildbore try stood as it should have done we would have kicked on and won that game.'"
Bloody good eye sight from your armchair vantage point i take it

| cullen has not had enough time yet and not had a chance to bring in his own players.
we wasted to many chances in attack. kavanagh had a top game tonight.
we should get the ball to our wingers more when attacking there line.

| I think the better side usually pips the game, despite the bad decisions. I think Halifax are the better side.
But only just. And I'm confident that may change in the next few months.

The radio commentary team probably sit on halfway so not the best position to call it from.
I know Widnes have been in a similar position to ourselves, I stand by the fact that our team never knows when it's beaten though, look at last year, losing by 26 at Leigh, come back to win, 18 points down at fev, come back to win, 14 points down against yourselves, come back to draw. One things for certain I think every Widnes fan would swap our start of the season for theirs.'" And another thing for certain you don`t win nothing at the start of the season. As some silly jock once said"it`s a marathon not a sprint".Well played tonight enjoy it but remember we have a far bigger squad than you and we are full time and that will count in the on coming season.

You certainly did not look like a full time team compared to us, someone`s not earning thier crust.

We know we don't win anything at this stage of the season and I agree it's a marathon not a sprint.
You may have a bigger squad but is it any better than ours? I'm not sure.
As for being fulltime, the extra recovery time is bound to be a bonus to yourselves. What we've got is team spirit and a willingness to put bodies on the line for eachother....fulltime training can only develop that so far as it has to come from within.

| I wouldn't say you haven't won anything yet. You've beaten us twice and your fans. certainly reacted like they had won a cup final!
In all honesty there was a real turning point tonight. After Thacks had scored you looked a little on the ropes. You were tiring and we made good ground every time we had the ball. Then Thompson lost the ball and Halifax were able to clear their lines! Had we scored I think we would have gone on to win.
Well done tonight though. Either team could have won and I think Halifax just did things that bit quicker to win the the game.

| First 20 minutes - Fax dominated but failed to rack up the points and put the game beyond Widnes - partly due to our own errors and partly due to great defensive work. Once again we had great difficulty in keeping the ball and completing our sets, unlike Widnes who made very few errors. The rest of the game i thought was well controlled by Widnes who should have gone on to win the game. My problem with Widnes is that they look too steady - there's not much spark in attack, apart from Wildbore and Smith. Bloody fantastic support once again from you lot.
See you all again on the 31st July. Hat-trick for Fax?

Thought Thackeray was their best player tonight, Smith has done nothing to make me fear him, Penky, and Beswick were better hookers than him last night, just as Gleeson was better than him 2 weeks ago. Kavanagh looked good for Widnes too, massive lad for his age.
