Someone like Andy lynch would take widnes a thousand miles however we cant get him ,anyone got any more realistic suggestions ? . Mullally imo not ready for the amount of responsibility he currently shoulders and we are desperate for someone to work in tandem with/alongside ben cross and it has to be someone as good as ben and better than davies, pickersgill and kav.Kite i think is better off the bench is short bursts as well.

Well any decent props we could sign from the Championship as Hill is doing well at Warrington now.Pickers and Kavs where average in the Championship and some very good players in that league.

i agree with that , its a no lose situation getting an experienced championship prop in and would strengthen us up no end. I know he's at huddersfield now but i remember liking tony tonks ,dont know how many games hes getting atm but he would fit the bill i think.

Stuart Fielden could be worth a punt, due to injuries he can hardly run, move or get out of bed like he used too but in saying that it would be a big step up from your current props.

Cross has been our worst prop this season. Pickersgill is hit & miss, Davies puts 100% each week and he can't carry the pack for us every game. Found it harsh that Davies has been dropped considering Cross hasn't!

Mullally has stepped up to the plate and been a revelation. Hopefully he will sign on a long term contract so we can start building a squad for the future.

Kite will also better for us with more game time. Once he sorts his defence around the ptb because it is shocking at the minute then we will have a cracking player.

I think we need to luck elsewhere next season for better players to add to the best we have this season.Hopefully a few youngsters will be better too next season.Maybe a few from Bradford to sign?

You're in dire need of any prop who isn't Ben Cross.

I'd love to know what this bloke says when interviewed, he must have some sort of Midas touch to have convinced three SL clubs to take him on.

Even before the season kicked off the consensus on here was we needed another prop , then we signed kite knowing he wasn't fit but a cracking future prospect , so obviously another short-term prop was going to be necessary as well , sort it out Betts.

I don't get the 'sort it out Betts' attitude, should we just go to the world class prop tree and pick someone off it?

We know we made a big play for Griffin and on that front I'd be surprised if not Andy Lynch. Both of those would be ideal for any side but unfortunately there aren't many players like that around. I believe we also moved for Peacock who short term would have added a hell of a lot. People quickly forget we only had ONE season of SL signings to date. You can't get everyone you want! And in the Griffin case also shows you can't simply 'offer more money' as everyone says.

In Davies, Mullally and even Kite we have 3 relatively young but exciting props with potentially big futures ahead. Pickers and Cross are your kind of work horse props that may not be top quality but will often take the ball up and work hard. I've always rated Alex Gerrard and was great to see him get his first SL game and do well on Thursday.

This is one of many areas where it will take time. But in recruitment now we can focus on certain areas / individuals even rather than trying to form a whole new squad at once.

I would sooner we had Cross in our squad than not have him.Michael Maguire was satisfied with his contribution, brief as it was, with Wigan last year.
