| Did anyone else notice the similarities in the style of play of Scotland and Widnes under McCormack once Wales got a roll on..? No answer to them in defence, no cohesion in attack, no set pieces and Ste McCormack stood in the stands looking bewildered...
Could this be the shape of things to come for Barrow next season?

| Tough game really, Scotland started well and then just fell away and the young welsh side once again looked a decent bunch and were a lot fitter. He did add to his losing final games though.
I was more shocked to see Mick Nanyn back to his biggest, Leigh are going to have there work cut out to get him fit. Duffy also looked absolutely fecked after 5 minutes of coming on!

| Toughgame. Wales deserved there win. To be honest McOrmack has done an exceptional job with Scotland. Great that some Widnes fans still have an obsession with him. Yep, not had best results in finals, think it's 6 finals in 5 years. But what a fantastic achievement getting to them.
Not many coaches get in any finals.
He'll do a good job at Barrow just like he did at Widnes and Gateshead.

Once the players are on the pitch the coach can dovery little.
Wales winning was more to do with having many more SL players than anything else.

Cullen got the dead wood out and got us settled and we won the NRC beating Barrow comfortably and ticked the box for a license.
His team, his pre season just watch us go next year.

That's the same excuse we used to use. You'll be repeating that a lot more next season, mark my words..

Wow!! I never knew one person could make so many posts over such a long period of time and all about one topic - Steve McCormack.
Don't tell me - your initials are RM.

You forgot to mention that Tony Smith has totally transformed Warrington from a team of overpaid, under-achieving, disorganised, big-time Charlies (under Cullen's leadership) into a motivated, structured and impressive side that won the Challenge Cup and look very good for 2010.

The league position they finished in was woeful in the league, apart from a challenge cup win i dont see what else there is to be that enthused about.
Still you have McChoker now.

Smith didn't take over until June. The turnaround since then is testament to Smith and damning evidence to prove how low Warrington had slipped under Cullen's leadership.
