I'd describe his as more silky than powerful - Menzie Yere is the power in that backline - the broadsword, Ropati was more the rapier.
15-16 tries this season and a similar total last term. Good signing for that Vikings threequarter line.

We really lacked quality in the centres this season and, now we have both Tyrer and Ropati, we are looking strong there for next season. Goodbye Toa, hello Tangi - The king is dead long live the king! 
A good scrumhalf and a couple of big, horrible yard dogs in the pack and we are in business.  |

Read on the other board we're also in for Lee Paterson, not sure how true this is but he's a quality player too. Give us three or four consistent goal kickers in our starting 13.

Branighan would be the perfect partener for Thackeray, he's all brains and prefers setting them up rather than scoring himself where as Thackeray constantly attacks the line.

So, Widnes getting it together on the pitch at last. (Or at least making more than a half assed attempt) About bloody time. There will be nothing but applause from me if you go up to SL as champions. That's how it should be. Some people (the RFL) have forgotten that.
